3 small jetties on the Kupa
The main element of the project is the “Preparation of study and project documentation”. The integrated programme provides for the restoration and valorisation of cultural heritage and the development of the Municipality of Lekenik as a tourist destination in the area from Žažina to Stari Farkašić along the Kupa River, an ideal location for developing continental tourism in this area. It also provides for the valorisation of the area’s ethnographic heritage and traditional crafts and the opening of an Ethnographic Museum with a souvenir shop. The project documentation produced includes surveys of the existing condition of 3 sacral buildings – the Church of St. Nicholas and St. Vitus in Žažina, the Chapel of St. Fabian and Sebastian in Letovanić and the Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Anthony the Hermit in Stari Farkašić – for which the consent of the Conservation Department in Sisak has been obtained. The project also produced design documentation for a multimedia hall and for 3 small jetties on the Kupa River in Žažina, Letovanić and Stari Brod, for which building permits have been obtained. Design documentation was also produced for a walkway in Žažina; its building permit will be obtained once Hrvatske vode (Croatian Waters) has completed its project to reconstruct the embankment in Žažina. The study documentation comprises a Feasibility Study with Cost-Benefit Analysis and a Brand Positioning and Promotion Strategy.
