Lekenik Art Colony

The Lekenik Art Colony is a traditional arts event organised by the Lekenik Tourist Board, bringing together academically trained and amateur artists from different parts of Croatia.

The colony takes place at various attractive locations around the municipality – from picturesque Letovanić on the Kupa River and the castle park at Dvorac Jurjevec to other inspiring places whose atmosphere sparks creativity and artistic work. Over one or several days, the artists create works inspired by nature, the Turopolje landscape and local heritage.

Visitors can watch the works take shape, talk to the artists and experience art at first hand, and the colony closes with an exhibition of the works created. The Lekenik Art Colony nurtures creativity, encourages collaboration and links art with the identity of the place, creating a meeting point for artists, locals and visitors.
