Advent in Lekenik

Advent in Lekenik brings the warmth of the festive season, the scent of mulled wine and fritule (small Croatian doughnuts) and a varied programme for all ages. Throughout December, Lekenik becomes a place to meet, socialise and come together in the glow of Advent candles and Christmas decorations.

A special attraction of the Advent programme is free ice skating, which brings real winter magic and great festive fun to the youngest visitors (and those a little older). The programme also includes the lighting of the Advent candles, performances by children’s groups and folklore societies, Christmas concerts, a seasonal fair of local produce and handicrafts, and a visit from Father Christmas, a special treat for the little ones. Shows, workshops and charity activities in the community centre (Društveni dom) and in the open air make the festive season even richer. Advent in Lekenik nurtures tradition, supports local producers and craftspeople and creates special moments that bring families, friends and the whole community together.
