2nd Grandma’s Cake Festival held in Pešćenica

Last Saturday (10 July), the women’s association Društvo žena Pešćenica organised the 2nd Grandma’s Cake Festival and a competition for the best Turopolje pie (pita).

As well as tasting the many kinds of cakes baked for the occasion and choosing the best Turopolje pie, visitors could join in various sports activities for children and adults next to the summer stage, such as tug of war, balloon games and sack races.

The title of best Turopolje pie went to Vera Filipović. Second place went to Marija Trtanj, while third place was won by the women’s association Udruga žena Bregi.

The evening continued with music and dancing to the band “Ti i ja”.
