OPG Šapić Irena
OPG Šapić Irena, a family farm in Brežane Lekeničke, breeds horses and offers horse training, shoeing, livery, recreational riding, a riding school and carriage rides. The farm also grows organic fodder to feed its horses.
The farm has experience in organising workshops and out-of-classroom lessons and takes part in educational programmes for children and young people. In cooperation with the Local Action Group (LAG) “Zrinska gora – Turopolje” and Mladost Primary School in Lekenik, workshops have been held on the farm at which pupils learned about horse breeding and work on the farm.
Location and surroundings
OPG Šapić Irena (family farm) is located in Brežane Lekeničke in the Municipality of Lekenik, about thirty minutes' drive from Zagreb and twenty minutes from Sisak.
You can easily combine your visit with a tour of the wooden chapels, the Ethno Collection Škofač and the Anatevka Film Trail or a walk along the Kupa River, and you can also taste the region's local flavours at festivals throughout the year.
